General Admissions Requirements
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entry requirements for degree programmes are five GCE ‘O’ Levels/WASSCE credits including English Language & Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. However, there are also school and departmental requirements for admission into the various schools and departments.
The following are recognized as credit passes:- WAEC GCE ‘O’ (Grade 1 to 6); WASSCE (Grade A1 to C6); AEB and University of London Examinations taken in or after 1973 (Grade A to C). Admission into Masters programme - A good first degree as determined by the Board of Postgraduate Studies.

- Prospective student makes payment of **** for Application form into University's bank accounts No. 1008964 at the Sierra leone Commercial bank
- Prospective student takes Bank payment slip to the finance office to obtain a University receipt
- Prospective student collects basic bio data form from registry and complete onsite (Make sure the data on this form is correct because it will become read only during the online application process
- Prospective student returns the form to the registry on the same day and receives a unique code for online access
- Prospective student checks their email for the online admission passcode/access code, username and password
- Prospective student clicks on unique link included in the email to start online application
- Prospective student enters their username, password and unique code to gain access to application system
- Prospective student completes and submit form online - All bio data will be prepopulated and read only.
- The Registry, schools and departments concerned will receive online form for approval
- Prospective students will be will be notified about their application status via email
- Accepted prospective students will be invited on campus to pick up offer of acceptance letter from the Registry
- Registry announces registration time online and via email to all accepted students
- Students will be advised to make payment of fees into University's bank accounts No. 1008964 at the Sierra Leone Commercial bank
- student takes bank payment slip to the finance office to obtain a University receipt
- Student will visit registry to obtain registration form
- Registry will confirm fees payment with finance office
- Student will obtain signatory of Heads of Departments
- Student will obtain signature and stamp from the Dean of School
- Student will return form to the registry for class list preparation (Registered Student)
